• When can I check in?
  • Check-in begins at 3 PM. Upon check-in, your card will be charged $100 per room (not taxed), per stay. This charge may appear on your debit or credit card for up to two weeks post-departure.

• When do I check out?
  • Check out is at noon. 

• Can I check in early? 
  • We always try to accommodate early check-ins. Let us know when you are arriving and we’ll do our best to get you into your room early. Early check-in fees may apply.

• Can I checkout late?
  • If you need a little extra time getting out, let us know. We will do our best to give you some more time, and we can always hold onto your bags while you explore. Late checkout fees may apply.

• Can you store my bags before I check-in or after I check out?
  • Of course. Just let the front desk know and we’ll provide a ticket for your bag.

• What is the minimum age required to check in?
  • You must be 21 or older and present a valid ID to check in.

• Do you have WiFi?
  • Of course. It’s easy to connect to our Carpenter Guest network, no password is needed!

• Are children allowed?
  • Yes! We love guests of all ages. The holder of your reservation must be 21 or older to check in.

• Can I bring my pet?
  • Yes! Well-behaved dogs are always welcome, and they stay for free! Pack your pup and we’ll supply a bed, bowl, and maybe a treat or two for your best friend.

• Do you have travel cribs or anything else for kids available?
  • Yes, we have pack n plays available. Just ask the front desk.

• What amenities are in my room?
  • All rooms include bath amenities, bluetooth speakers, a hairdryer, a fully stocked minibar, a delightfully comfortable bathrobe, iron or steamer, and in-room safe. We also have white noise machines in each of the rooms.

• When does housekeeping come? Is stayover service available?
  • Stayover service is available by request and can be arranged by the front desk at anytime.

• Can I have a package sent to the hotel prior to my arrival?

• • If you can let us know if you are planning on receiving anything, we can make sure it arrives safely. If anything arrives for you before you check-in, we’ll hold it at the front desk. We are only able to hold packages for 48 hours before or after reservations.  Otherwise, there can be a fee associated with holding packages.  Additionally, if packages are over 36 by 36 inches they are subject to a storage fee.

• Can I bring a photographer and take pictures?
  • Maybe. Commercial photography is prohibited without express permission. Contact us if you have a request.

• How many rooms are at the hotel?
  • 93 rooms

• Are there any events going on while I’m staying there?
  • Probably. At Bunkhouse we love a good reason to get together. Check out our Events page to explore what’s happening while you are in town.

• Does the hotel have a pool?
  • Yes. The pool is available to guests from dusk until dawn (7 am to 9 pm). 

• Can I bring my own drinks to the pool?
  • Outside food and drinks are prohibited at the pool. However, we offer food and drink options brought right to your chair from Carpenters Hall.

• Can I rent a bike?
  • Yes! We offer a few bikes for our guests, just ask the Front Desk and they’ll also point you to the best places to ride.

• Does the hotel have a gym?
  • No, but we do have opportunities for guests to book a day pass with near by gym, Castle Hill Fitness. Stop by or email the front desk to learn how to book. We also recommend hitting the Hike and Bike trail, Zilker Park, or Lady Bird Lake for some nearby outdoor movement.

• Does the hotel have a spa?
  • No, but we know of several great options in the area. Ask the front desk for recommendations.

• What’s the souvenir situation? Is there a shop?
  • Our individually curated retail shops are worth a visit on their own. We offer a host of signature souvenirs, thoughtfully sourced local goods, and one-of-a-kind finds. Save room in your suitcase or if you decide you want something after the fact, our online shop is always open.

• Is there a concierge that can help me plan my stay?
  • Our Front Desk is happy to offer suggestions and help you fill your days with the best our hometown has to offer. Just ask. We also offer a texting service to our team to make it more convenient 24/7!

• When can I get room service?
  • During regular service hours for Carpenters Hall as well as Carpenter Coffee Bar.

• Can I smoke in my room?
  • No. All of our rooms are non-smoking. If we find that you’ve tampered with any of our smoke detectors or lit up in your room, we’ll charge an additional fee of $250.  Additional cleaning fees will be assessed based on mess, broken furniture, and any other additional damages.

• I’m really digging the bath products/comforter/uniforms/glasses you use. Are they for sale?
  • Aww thanks. Yes! Many of the items in your room and around the hotel are available in our gift shop. Take a gander!

• What payment methods do you accept?
  • For payment, we accept American Express, Discover Card, Mastercard or Visa, or Apple Pay. 

• Can I change or cancel my reservation?
  • Plans change. If yours do, we just ask that you let us know by 6 PM local hotel time at least 3 days prior to your reservation to avoid a fee (equal to one night’s stay plus tax). 

• During peak times and depending on your reservation, our policies may vary, so please refer to the policies specific to your reservation. These can be found during the booking process and in your reservation confirmation email. 

• When will my credit card be charged? What’s your deposit policy?
  • We will need to secure your booking with a credit or debit card up front. The cost of that deposit may vary and during peak times we may require the full cost of your reservation up front— but the remainder of your payment will be charged upon check-out unless stated otherwise. Please check the exact policies for your reservation while booking.

• How is my room guaranteed?
  • Reservations are guaranteed with a valid credit card at the time of booking. We’ll ask you to verify the payment details upon check-in. 

• What is your cancellation policy?
  • Cancellation is required 48 hours prior to arrival for most room types and is subject to fees depending on reservation type

• What does the amenity fee include?
  • A fee of $25 per night (taxes included) will be added to your bill so that we can provide services and enhancements to your experience according to our standards. This includes:
  • WiFi
  • 24-hour concierge service
  • Pool
  • Complimentary social hour (a complimentary glass of sparkling wine from 3 – 5PM every day)
  • Printing services
  • Complimentary bike usage
  • Pet services

• Is there a minimum number of nights I need to stay?
  • Minimum length of stay will vary based on the season and time of year.
