The Property

Hotel Saint Augustine is within walking distance of the Menil Drawing Institute and a ten-minute drive of the Museum District, Rice University, and Hermann Park. It is home to 71 hotel rooms and suites, a restaurant, a small event space, an intimate lobby bar and a cloistered circular courtyard pool. The property takes inspiration from the spirit of the museum collection and of Houston itself—a duality of old world and new, a rich diversity and a forward-thinking sensibility.

Reach for the Stars

Perseid (per-see-id), the hotel’s restaurant, will be helmed by well-loved Houston chef and restaurateur Aaron Bludorn and his front-of-house partner Cherif Mbodji. Named for the spectacular Perseid meteor shower that peaks in the month of August each year, it will offer a take on the quintessential neighborhood bistro.

Designed for Dreaming

Located in the Museum District, the hotel itself is a work of art. With architecture from renowned Texas firm Lake | Flato, interiors done in collaboration with Post Company, and lush landscaping in partnership with lauded Texas studio Ten Eyck and The John Fairey Garden in Hempstead who provided rare and native plants for the hotel’s grounds.
