About Hotel Havana
Located on a quiet stretch of San Antonio’s River Walk known as the Museum Reach, Hotel Havana is a 27-room historic property thoughtfully restored by the acclaimed Austin-based hospitality company, Bunkhouse. Originally built in 1914 as an upscale residential hotel named Hotel Havana, Bunkhouse reinvented the property paying homage to its original spirit. The charming combination of Mediterranean Revival architecture, rich Spanish Colonial history, and calm Caribbean temperament has made Havana one of the most authentic places to stay in San Antonio.
Crisp and inviting in design, no two of Havana’s unique guest rooms are exactly alike. From the cozy Studios to the two-floored Penthouse, all rooms feature original Bastrop pine floors and are adorned with antique furniture, Turkish rugs, and vintage Cuban artwork. The design of the public spaces, which were influenced by Mexican and Cuban cultures, meld elements of Old World décor with vibrant touches of color. Ocho, the hotel’s glass-enclosed restaurant situated along the River Walk, the second floor courtyard patio, and each of the floor’s front balconies all offer sun-soaked views, while the basement cocktail den, Havana Bar, evokes the feel of a hidden speakeasy. Hotel Havana is conveniently located next to the new Tobin Center for Performing Arts and is minutes away from the redeveloped Pearl district, The Alamo, and the Southwest School of Art.
